For the past few years I have been using Zentner bulls, I have always backgrounded and grassed all my calves for years and have been happy with the performance of not only the steers but more importantly the heifer punch I see. The family offers great support and assistance with backup plans if needed when in a bind which is huge.

I’ve been running Dogpatch bulls exclusively on my redangusx commercial cows. The results speak for themselves, I have no issues during calving and in the fall the calves have all kinds of hair and a big hip and top which is exactly what buyers are looking for. The bulls have always been reasonably priced for the quality you receive and am looking forward to buying a couple more this spring. Mick has always stood behind his bulls and always been willing to accommodate my needs. I’ll conclude by saying I’m definitely a satisfied customer and happy to call the Zentner family good friends.

I have been using Dogpatch bulls since 2008. I like the calving ease and growth of the calves. The stockyards and order buyers really like the thickness and the great hair coats of the calves. The Zentners will be happy to answer any questions you have.

I have been buying Charolais bulls exclusively for the last 10 years. I like the quiet disposition of the bulls. The calves are generally between 90 and 100 lbs., and we have yet to have a C-section! The calves grow fast and really respond to creep. With my red and tan cows I get a lot of tan calves with great hair coats, just what the feedlots are looking for. Michael and Annette have helped me out if I've ever had any problems, and that's worth a lot.

Charolais bulls were the backbone of the breeding herd 30 years ago. High birthweights and tougher calving had us move to other breeds over the years. Working with Mick and Annette at Dog Patch Acres has given us confidence to bring Charolais back to our bull pen. Calving ease, growth, good temperaments and a moderate, feed efficient frame can all come in one package. Dog Patch Acres is great to deal with and we always enjoy our cattle talks.

When the Zentner Cattle came to our pasture last summer, it was obvious that the calves had tremendous potential. They developed extremely well throughout the pasture season. The depth of quality and uniformity of type in both males and females is impressive. Featured is an outstanding group of bull calves sired by Dogpatch's senior herdsire, CSS Gridmaker 2W. Give your crossbreeding program a boost with these sound, well muscled, high performance bulls. Make an effort to check out this bull pen at the farm prior to the sale. In my opinion you will not find a better offering of yearling bulls.

We have purchased several bulls from Dog Patch Acres and have always been pleased. We have enjoyed the calving ease and docile nature of these bulls. The calves hit the ground running and are bringing top dollar on sale day (both the steers and heifers!). You can’t find that just anywhere. Micheal & Annette will look after you and your needs, going the extra mile for customer satisfaction.
